Project Overview

The Royal Oak Hotel, a long-standing establishment in the heart of Alloa, approached us with a clear objective: to refresh their branding and create a cohesive suite of printed materials that would elevate their customer experience and attract new clientele. The project encompassed a wide range of print collateral, from in-house menus to external signage.

The Challenge: A Cohesive Brand Experience

While the Royal Oak had a loyal customer base, their existing printed materials lacked a consistent visual identity. The menus, posters, and flyers were disjointed, failing to represent the hotel's warm, modern atmosphere. Our challenge was to design and print a comprehensive set of materials that were not only functional but also visually unified and professional, reflecting the quality of the hotel itself.

Our Solution: A Full Suite of Design and Print

Working closely with the Royal Oak team, we developed a new design aesthetic that was both classic and contemporary. The chosen color palette and typography were applied across all assets to ensure a seamless brand experience.

Key Deliverables:

  • Menus: We designed and printed new menus for the bar and restaurant. The design was clean and easy to read, with high-quality card stock and a protective lamination to ensure durability and a premium feel.

  • Flyers: Eye-catching flyers were created to promote special events and seasonal offerings. The design was bold and memorable, perfect for distribution in and around Alloa to capture the attention of passersby.

  • Posters: A series of posters were designed for both indoor and outdoor display, advertising everything from live music to food specials. The consistent branding ensured that the posters were instantly recognizable as being from the Royal Oak.

  • Strut Cards: We produced branded strut cards to be placed on tables and counters, promoting upcoming events, desserts, and drinks specials. These provided a subtle but effective way to upsell and inform customers.

  • Outdoor Signs: The final element was the design and production of new outdoor signs. This included a prominent sign for the hotel's exterior, as well as A-frame signs for the pavement. These durable, weather-resistant signs ensured the new brand identity was visible to everyone in the area.

The Results: A Refreshed Brand and Increased Engagement

The new design and print work has provided the Royal Oak Hotel with a strong, unified brand identity. Feedback from both the hotel's staff and customers has been overwhelmingly positive. The cohesive look and feel of all the materials has created a more professional and welcoming atmosphere.
